If you’re thinking about renting this cabin for a stay, DO IT! My family and I LOVED IT! Would stay here again in a heartbeat!"

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the place. Check in and out was so smooth. It looked exactly same as described. We would love to revisit."
Lake Taneycomo is the coldest lake in MO and is famous for fishing trout, bass, bluegill, and more. It is not an ideal swimming lake, but the cold waters can be enjoyed in the hottest months of the year. In the warmer months, a micro plant called Water Meal floats on the surface of the lake and gathers along the shore. Lake weeds do grow up in the shallow waters in front of the cabin for about 6 months of the year, so if you want to get into the water, plan to paddle the kayaks out to one of the coves across the lake.
You are welcome to fish on the shore of the resort and off the dock. The best fishing tends to be out in the deeper waters of the lake, easily accessed by our kayaks. Our guests enjoy the connection with nature that our cabin offers. You will regularly see ducks, geese, cranes, turtles, fish jumping, and occasionally eagles swooping while relaxing on our deck in this natural area.
We would like to personally welcome you to our family’s lake home! We hope that you and your family have a wonderful vacation here and enjoy it as much as our family does. Our 4 kids are the 4th generation to come to this spot!
My wife Jessi and I will be your hosts and are available to answer questions you have prior to or during your stay at Dogwood, but we will leave you alone to relax once you have checked in and are all settled so you can enjoy your vacation.

Words can’t describe how relaxing it is to wake up in the plush king bed and enjoy a quiet moment out on the deck, watching the morning fog lift off the lake.
