We are located on a private acre overlooking the Sandy River and the Cascade Mountains less than 2 miles from the sandy ridge trail system. This home is just 18 minutes from Ski Bowl and Government Camp, 26 minutes from Timberline Lodge and the restaurant at the top of Mount Hood, 23 minutes from Trillium Lake, and less than an hour's drive from the Portland airport. It is the perfect location to explore all that Mount Hood has to offer!

For your outdoor adventures, we're located 1.8 miles from Sandy Ridge Trails and only 18 minutes from Ski Bowl and Government Camp. Our mud room includes Boot Dryers, Helmet racks, a full-size washer and dryer, and all the space you need to get ready for your day! Plus, this chalet features a secure bike shed for locking up your bikes, as well as a bike cleaning station equipped with tools and an air compressor.

  • With 5 bedrooms, everyone sleeps comfortably in a bed. No pullout couches here.
    The 3 bathrooms & 2 hot water tanks mean everyone can enjoy hot showers.
    The open-concept living room, dining room, and kitchen provide ample seating for the whole group to gather. Additionally, the heated and cooled sunroom, featuring a sectional couch and stunning views, provides ample space to spread out, relax, and unwind.

  • Outside, the possibilities feel endless. The huge deck with outdoor couch, egg chairs, lounge chairs, deck heaters, and outdoor dining offers multiple gathering spaces with unmatched views. The yard features bench swings, 2 fire pits, adirondack chairs, and MULTIPLE HAMMOCKS, providing everyone with space to relax or find a quiet spot.

  • Our custom OUTDOOR GAME PIT provides the perfect spot for friendly competition from Putt-Putt Golf and Corn Hole, to Bocce Ball, Ladder Ball, and life-size Connect-4... all provided for your enjoyment!

This wasn't our original location for our trip. Our original host canceled on us as we were at the door trying to get in. After working with Airbnb for 5 hours and sitting in the cold I reached out to Chris and ask if the house was still available. It was and we were able to get in right away. It was such a relief to find somewhere. Chris was extremely accommodating and helpful during our stay. This place had everything for each of our kids. We are hoping to be able to return and enjoy it again.

My brother and I were looking for a quiet, out of the way place to spend the week where we didn't have to go out if we didn't want to. Chris hosts a great getaway with lots to keep us busy. The view off the back deck let us watch the weather change in real time. The hot tub was a perfect respite and the furnishings were perfect. The kitchen has plenty of room and appliances and the coffee bar offered lots of choices. The bedrooms were large and plentiful, each with private ROKU-based TVs. We'd recommend to friends and consider returning again.

Beautiful home and really kind hosts! Chris was very intentional about leaving us instructions about everything and making sure he was available for any questions or needs my family had while staying in his home. The kids absolutely loved the arcade games, we enjoyed time in the hot tub and around the bonfire outside, and we were able to create wonderful memories in such a tranquil space. Cozy home, lovely hosts, and a beautiful Thanksgiving weekend spent with family thanks to Chris and this sweet home! ☺️

Hands down, this is one of the best Airbnbs we’ve ever stayed in. From the moment we arrived, everything was immaculately clean — every room felt fresh, tidy, and thoughtfully prepared. And then there are the views… absolutely breathtaking. Waking up to the mountains and river right outside the window felt like staying inside a postcard. We loved relaxing on the new deck — the outdoor seating, dining area, and heaters made it easy to enjoy the scenery from morning to night. The amenities are exceptional. The kids practically lived in the game room and bunk areas, while we enjoyed peaceful mornings with coffee in the sunroom. The layout is perfect for families or groups, and the location couldn’t be better. We were up to Timberline in just 25 minutes! We will 100% be back.

We loved this home so much! It was the perfect spot for my son to hit the mountain bike trails just minutes away and for me to sip coffee in the sun room as the clouds lifted and revealed the beautiful river below! The mountain peaks and fall colors were breathtaking everyday! The mattresses are the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on! The kitchen had everything we could possibly want for making family meals. In the evenings the adults enjoyed the hot tub while the kids played in the game room and the bikes stayed locked in the bike area after a little tune up on the bike stand provided by the host. It’s quite literally the perfect spot for everyone! We will be back for more weeks of riding and relaxing!!

What are noise rules?

Outdoor LOUD MUSIC is prohibited AT ALL TIMES. We do have neighbors, and we ask that you be respectful of their presence.

  • QUIET HOURS begin at 10:00 p.m.
  • Quiet hours are strictly enforced
  • After 10:00 PM, no outdoor music or loud group activities are allowed
  • If guests break noise rules, the sheriff may be called, and guests will be required to leave without a refund
Hot tub rules?
  • Children must be monitored at all times
  • Absolutely NO GLASS or food near the hot tubs
  • Please use the provided plastic wine glasses
  • NO BUBBLES, NO SALTS, OR OILS can be added to the hot tub
  • You must shower first and wear a swimsuit (not clothes) in the hot tub
  • It is professionally serviced after every stay
Age and occupancy rules?
  • All guests must be 22+ with the exception of children with their parents
  • Maximum occupancy: 15 Persons
  • All guests must be accounted for in reservation
  • If you bring more people than accounted for on your reservation, you will be asked to leave without a refund
What is the smoking policy?

This is a NON-SMOKING/VAPING cabin. Guests may smoke only around the fire pit.

What about pets?

Dog friendly! The number of dogs must be selected upon booking.

  • Up to 2 well-trained dogs under 50 lbs. each
  • $150 fee per dog added to total
  • Pets must be kenneled when left home alone
  • Guests are responsible for cleaning up any waste from their pets
  • Guests must ensure that barking does not disturb our neighbors
  • Pets are never to be left alone outside or chained up outside
  • Please use the dog blankets provided if your pet will be on the couch or bed
  • We provide a basic kennel, a doggy bed, poop bags, and a lint roller
  • Excessive pet hair, damage, or smells will result in additional fees
What about insects/critters?

We have the cabin on a regular pest control schedule to help minimize the possibility of insects and critters. However, this is a wooded area, and some insects are unavoidable.

  • You can occasionally expect to see critters (bugs, ants, spiders, bats etc.) in or around the cabin
  • If this is a concern for you, a place further from nature may be a better fit
  • Please help us by keeping the floors swept, sweets in the fridge, and trash cleaned up

I grew up in a large family and am passionate about creating fun spaces for families to gather and make memories together. My wife and I live in St. Louis with our 4 kids.
